When I decided to go to therapy I did not go because I needed to cure a specific disorder, but because I wanted to get out of my general mental illness: the tangle that my life had become, to heal myself in the broadest sense. I make this clarification because often those who feel this way think they do not need a specialist, that specialists are only there to cure a specific disorder. Last year, in the worst year ever, I lost my job and experienced several episodes of depression. The typical ones that keep you in bed all day, make you lose your appetite or block out 10 hours on Instagram so you don't think. At that moment when I was looking for a new job, I needed a bigger reason to get up every morning with a smile and for that Lebasi was born. A mental health podcast that I made in collaboration with the psychotherapy center where I am in therapy. Today, after two and a half years of therapy, I feel more myself, my needs but above all my limits, and I try not to go against them. Today, after two and a half years, I have created a small project to share with others the new perspectives that therapy has given me. I wanted to tell you about my experience because your project is super! Thank you so much!
