Something I've learned about mental health over the past couple years is that it is a spectrum. Some may be farther along the spectrum than others, but whether it may appear so or not, everyone is fighting some sort of battle.
I really starting struggling with my mental health towards the end of high school. I developed an eating disorder that took over my life, and as the eating disorder progressed I became severely depressed. I even became suicidal. I went through hell and back but I got the help I needed, and my life will never be the same.
Getting help is not weak, taking medication is not weak and talking about mental health is not weak.
I want you to know that you are not alone. No storm can last forever. Getting help is not weak, taking medication is not weak and talking about mental health is not weak. I promise you one day you will look back on your struggle and be so proud of yourself for hanging on when you could of given up. So to everyone who is just barely getting by, keep kicking ass every damn day and keep your chin up cause you can be one hell of a fighter if you believe in yourself.
